The Erie BayHawks are pleased to announce Green Week in partnership with Green Mountain Energy. Green Week will feature a week-long activation to promote energy conservation and environmental sustainability throughout Erie County.
BayHawks players will take the court against the Raptors 905 in Green Week themed uniforms on March 25th. The uniforms, in a joint effort with Erie Arts & Culture, will be selected as part of a uniform design contest throughout the month of February. Designers, artists, and photographers of all ages in Erie County and surrounding areas are encouraged to submit uniform designs that depict a ‘greener Erie.’ One jersey will be selected by BayHawks players and will be worn during the game. The jerseys will be auctioned during the game with proceeds benefitting local community projects to refurbish and reclaim public spaces in Erie County.
Winning bidders of the jersey design contest will have an opportunity to have their picture taken with players and receive a signed, game worn jersey.
The Green jersey design contest is open to all members of the community. All designs must be submitted to Erie Arts & Culture no later than February 13th. The winning design will be selected on February 19th. Please visit: www.erieartsandculture.org/blog/bayhawks-green-game–uniform-design-contest for information regarding contest details.
Throughout Green Week, The BayHawks and Green Mountain Energy will share energy saving tips and tricks to lead to a greener community. Content will be shared in coordination with the Green Mountain Energy’s goal of eliminating carbon emissions in Erie. To learn more about Green Mountain Energy visit www.greenmountainenergy.com.
